Went here on a Saturday at 11 am and had an hour long wait. Took our phone number and walked around and got coffee down the street at Never Coffee and then explored Movie Mayhem while we waited. Food exceeded our expectations and very family/ kid friendly. We had enough room to roll our single stroller to the end of our table as well. Would definitely recommend the lemon curd blueberry pancakes and breakfast burrito.
This is a great idea for families, especially those with kids. The options outside of the make your own pancakes are pretty good and it was delivered quick! If you want to try their food without the pancakes the bar area didn't have a single person sitting there, so that would be a quick option! The Mushroom Scramble was delicious!

Best pancakes on Maui, or anywhere for that matter. I never realized how delicious a pancake batter could be. I don’t know what the secret is but we are hooked. Spent 11 days in Maui and had breakfast at Slappy Cakes on 3 of those days.
Omg, what a great place to have a family or cozy breakfast date. The food looked so good with the smell of bacon frying and aromatic coffee brewing made me feel like I was home. What makes this place unique is the grill on the table for its patrons to cook their pancakes, or sit at the bar and have them cooked for you. This place is very popular - so go with time to spare. Great service and food is prepared from starch with quality ingredients. I loved it and will be back for more.
Not our first time here. Its a fun place for the family to make their own pancakes with their batter available for purchase and fun toppings! ( butter milk & chocolate batter pictured here.) The other dishes are also delicious! Eggs Benedict and sausage biscuits & gravy. I recommend you try it out!
What a cute restaurant! Oh it was so Much fun to go and have our own little griddle! My wife and I have been trying to come to this place for a while but there’s always a wait! We’ll today we said no matter how long we are going to go and I’m glad we did. The wait was only 10-15min for the two of us. We had the buttermilk batter, side of bacon, and a side of eggs. I also got the seasonal drink, the Dirty Snowman which was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!
